Lucas had been crying because he was tired and frustrated. Once he finished crying this is what he said:
"Mom, my eyes have a water leak."
We then explained what tears were.

that reminds me of the Clan of the Cave Bear books. When Ayla was living with the clan, she was the only one who could cry, and they all thought it was really weird.
